What is Standards New Zealand Membership?

Standards New Zealand Membership enables your organisation to save money and time, especially if you purchase wtandards regularly. Membership rates are based on the number of full-time equivalent staff in your organisation.

Membership entitles you to a 20% discount on NZS and AS/NZS standards products and services, a 10% discount on international standards, credit facilities, and you can keep up to date with standards news through Touchstone, our e-zine.

How does Standards New Zealand's Membership work?

Once you have signed up for Membership, you can login to your account and purchase standards 24/7 at a discounted price, and receive credit facilities. For any purchases made, you may request to be invoiced. All invoices must be paid by the 20th of the month. Membership is renewed annually, and you will receive the invoice by email approximately one month before it is due.

What are the terms and conditions of Standards New Zealand Membership?

Each year, prior to their Membership renewal, Standards New Zealand Members are required to confirm that the Membership subscription they have is based on the correct, permanent, full-time equivalent staff employed by their organisation – either nationwide or at a site/division only.

Members are required to advise Standards New Zealand of any changes to numbers of permanent, full-time equivalent staff as this may affect Membership fees for the coming year.

Effective from 2 July 2012, Standards New Zealand's terms of business are as follows.

  • All invoices must be paid by the 20th of the month following the invoice issue date.
  • Any disputes, returns, or claims on charges or stock supplied must be made within 7 business days of the invoice date.
  • Provision of credit is subject to the outcome of credit or other checks which Standards New Zealand may carry out at its sole discretion.
  • Standards New Zealand is authorised to obtain credit information from a credit provider, and to make reasonable use of such information, in accordance with the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2004.
  • Standards New Zealand is authorised to obtain information about my or my organisation's credit worthiness from any independent referees, which I may nominate at Standards New Zealand's request.
  • Standards New Zealand reserves the right to stop credit if invoices are not paid by the due date, or if the outcome of a credit or other check is unsatisfactory to Standards New Zealand.
  • Standards New Zealand reserves the right to temporarily suspend subscription services and/or credit facilities and to refuse to supply further goods or services until amounts owing are paid.
  • Standards New Zealand reserves the right to charge 2% interest per month on any overdue amounts owing.
  • Debt collection, administration, and legal fees will be charged in the event Standards New Zealand's terms of trade are not met and debt recovery action is taken.

Standards New Zealand Members are required to agree to these terms and conditions when they sign up to become a Member. By using Standards New Zealand's services from 2 July 2012, all existing Members and resellers are deemed to have accepted the revised terms and conditions.

How much does Standards New Zealand's Membership cost?

Can you give me a quote for Membership of Standards New Zealand?

Can I pay my Standards New Zealand Membership online with my credit card?

You can pay by credit card when you complete your application online to become a Member; however our system does not currently have the technology that allows you to pay your annual Membership invoices this way.

What benefits do I get if I become a Standards New Zealand Member?

Our Membership enables your organisation to receive a 20% discount on all NZS and AS/NZS standards products and services, a 10% discount on all international standards, and access to credit facilities.

Why can't I renew my Membership online?

Membership is renewed automatically – you will receive an email advising you your Membership needs to be renewed and we will then send you an invoice for the coming Membership year.

I want to cancel my Membership. Can you do this?

I've forgotten our Member username and password. Can you tell me what it is?

Your organisation's Membership contact will be able to tell you. Or, you Click 'login and use the 'Forgot password?' link– an email will then be sent to you containing your user name and password.

I am a student. Can I join Standards New Zealand as a Member?

You can, but an annual Membership fee will apply. We do offer student discounts when you present your student ID. Also note that many public libraries have Standards available to view at no cost.

We have a number of branches with separate Standards New Zealand Memberships. Can these be consolidated into one Membership?

Yes, we can create one Membership account to cover as many branches as needed. Or, we can create a parent account and as many sub accounts as needed for different branches of the company. These accounts can all be covered by one invoice.
