The recent and very successful joint conference between the New Zealand Contractors' Federation and the Association of Consulting Engineers – 'Collaborative Industry, Working Together, Driving Progress' was certainly a groundbreaking event. Not so long ago the very suggestion of getting hundreds of contractors and consulting engineers to spend 3 days in each other's company would have been greeted with some rolling of eyes and comments about murder being committed.
