2011 Gas New Zealand Forum

Gas NZ 2011 forum

Issue 32 – October 2011

The joint LPG Association, the Gas Association of NZ, and New Zealand Institution of Gas Engineers Forum this year is designed to be relevant to, and appeal to, a much broader cross-section of gas industry participants.

This year Acting Minister of Energy, Hon Hekia Parata, will open the Forum and will provide insight into the government's view of energy for New Zealand and the role LPG and gas could play.

As well as the usual interesting mix of LPG and gas industry issues, the programme will provide time for the delivery of technical papers and workshops that will be of interest to both NZIGE members and others.

Networking options include a lake cruising/fishing trip, a geothermal plant visit or a nine hole ambrose golf– all three options provide great settings to network in a relaxed environment. Plus, Ben Hurley (Star of hit TV3 show 7 Days) is set to impress as the after dinner speaker. Ben is the winner of two of New Zealand's prestigious comedy awards, so it should be a good night!

The Forum will be held at Taupo's Wairakei Resort from October 19 to 21 2011.

Visit the LPG Association of New Zealand website (www.lpga.co.nz/newsIndustry.php) for more information.
