The theme of the next International Organization for Standardization Committee on consumer policy (ISO/COPOLCO) workshop to be held on 15 May 2012 in Fiji, will be, 'How do consumers know what they are getting?' The event, hosted by the Fiji Trade Standards and Quality Control Office (FTSQCO), will be followed by the ISO/COPOLCO plenary meeting on 16 – 17 May 2012.

Specifies requirements and test methods for manual wheelchairs intended to carry one person. This Standard does not apply to, but elements may be relevant for, wheelchairs designed for special purposes, such as sports wheelchairs, custom-made wheelchairs, stand-up wheelchairs, and add-on power kits for the propulsion of manual wheelchairs.

Comments: Amendments have been made to NZS 8603 Design and application of outdoor recreational symbols. Public comment review and the committee postal ballot has been undertaken. All amendments have been agreed to by committee members and approved by Council. The document is being prepared for publishing in late March 2012.
