Has your local body made use of the model bylaws available free to LGNZ members?
LGNZ sponsor the production and maintenance of a suite of model bylaws that territorial authorities can use as the basis for their own bylaws. Standards New Zealand also encourages territorial authority involvement and input into their work.
Current model bylaws are diverse and include trading in public places, control of advertising signs, the keeping of animals, poultry, and bees, food safety, and traffic.
