Addresses a number of key safety and quality issues commonly found in the health and disability sector. The monitoring of this suite of standards is intended to replace the current Ministry of Health licensing regime and will also become a contractual requirement of many ACC purchased health services. Because this is a generic document focusing on the basic fundamentals of quality care, the standards are applicable to a wide range of health and disability based services. Specifically the standards include consumer rights, organizational management, pre-entry and entry to services, service delivery, managing service delivery, safe and appropriate environment.
